Rachel's Biography

Rachel Rabin signs a global deal with EMI music Publishing as she stakes her British flag in the Hollywood Hills!!

Fiery, LA based, British artist Rachel Rabin, who was hailed as “Pops next Amy Winehouse” by national UK publication The JC, and dubbed as “Destined for massive things” by BBC radio DJ, J.Smallman, signs to EMI publishing as she continues to work on her own album "Man I Love you" as well as projects for many other chart topping artists.

Coming from a classical background as the Granddaughter of 1950s music mogul Oscar Rabin, Rachel's power house vocals have threads of Janis Joplin and Florence and the machine whilst her music takes left field influences from the likes of PJ Harvey, Kings of Leon, MGMT and Alanis Morrisette, Jim Morison (Yes) and Annie Lennox.

Having appeared at some UK indie festivals in 2010, performing to crowds of 12,000 people, as well as singing live on BBC radio and supporting 'The Feeling' at the ‘Walk for Life’ in London, Rachel has already made a mark on the British music industry including the BBC introducing team. Writing collaborations over the last year include Lauren Christy ‘The Matrix’, Jukebox (Willow Smith), Chuck Harmony (Neyo), Ty$ (50cent, Snoop Dogg), Willy Will (Carter4), JD Walker (Jason Derulo), Harmony (chipmunk, Rihanna), and many more. With many potential songs in the pipeline to be cut and released and her own album getting stronger every day, Rachel is fast becoming one anglo alien artist to keep a watchful eye on.
